Cooks River Valley Association Incorporated (CRVA) is a passionate group of environmentally-conscious residents dedicated to rehabilitating the Cooks River and fostering a sense of community within its valley. By collaborating with like-minded groups and working independently, CRVA works towards natural resource management and enhancing the quality of life and facilities in the local environment. As a registered Landcare group, CRVA's core objectives revolve around improving the health of the Cooks River, its water quality, riverbed conditions, and the surrounding flora and fauna. They aim to enhance the safety, appeal, and amenity of open spaces, along with increasing the availability of accessible community resources and connecting local residents through various community activities. Volunteer members participate in an array of activities, including foreshore litter clean-ups, bush regeneration, bird surveys, and pollution reduction initiatives. Additionally, CRVA takes part in local festivals, forums, and workshops to engage communities in sustainable practices.
