NATURE EDUCATION CENTRE INCORPORATED

Nature Education Centre Incorporated (NEC) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Adelaide, dedicated to promoting hands-on learning about the environment. With a strong focus on fostering a passion for studying and preserving nature, NEC aims to inspire the next generation of environmentally-conscious individuals through engaging educational experiences. NEC has built a thriving community of loyal and engaged members by offering various resources, such as the lending of animals, natural history specimens, and captivating kits. Their services extend to schools in Adelaide's metropolitan area, where their dedicated Education Officer visits with a range of native animals that are otherwise unavailable for loan. Students are given the chance to closely study and interact with these fascinating creatures, sparking curiosity and fostering a lifelong relationship with the natural world. In partnership with the South Australian Science Teachers Association (SASTA), NEC relies heavily on sponsorships, donations, and volunteers to further their mission. With opportunities for involvement in animal care, educational events, and administration, volunteers as young as 15 years old can make a difference in the organisation. By joining the Nature Education Centre Incorporated, you'll become part of a values-driven community that's passionate about nurturing a love for the environment in young minds. Together, we can work towards a brighter, more sustainable future for our planet.
